About Us

Temporarily closed due to covid 19. When we are commencing again we will announce it via our social media and local media outlets.
Cootehill parkrun is a free, weekly, community event held at Haltons park every Saturday morning that starts at 9.30am. It is a timed run/jog/walk event which extends over 5km of beautiful forest terrain. It is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, you can learn new skills and enhance your health and happiness in the great outdoors whilst making new friends, feeling part of your local community and improving your fitness. Registration is completely free and only needs to be done once and can be done via www.parkrun.ie Cootehill parkrun is unique in Ireland as our route crosses over the county boundaries of Cavan and Monaghan when you run across the footbridge over the Dromore River – come along and decide for yourself which side of the river is more scenic!
The event is on every Saturday at Haltons Amenity park
