Mary has over thirty years’ experience in the Education and Health, Fitness and Wellness sector. She is a secondary school teacher, has trained and worked as a health and fitness instructor/mentor, Stott Pilates and Yoga teacher and is also certified in Permaculture Design.
Mary’s passion lies in promoting health and wellness, through the design and delivery of Wellbeing initiatives, with a particular focus on women transitioning through midlife. She also delivers Wellness programmes for teens, and older adults and collaborates with local schools, CMETB, and Cavan Sports Partnership. Recently Mary set up Rowan Wellness and Gardens, a Wellness facility, at her home in Maudabawn, where she offers Yoga/Wellness programmes, workshops and retreats online, in person and in blended format.
Mary is also deeply interested in doing right by our precious planet. Her vision is one of local community, coming together to reconnect, restore, care for and celebrate our biodiversity, water, soil and land for the sustainable health, wellbeing and loving kindness of our planet and people.
